Certain Swindle cards have an Upkeep entry listed in Crowd Points. These costs need to be paid at the end of your Drama phase. You can use resources like Mask, Face Paint, Marsha Flowers, or any other resource that taps-out for Crowd Points to pay this cost, or you can just spend your Crowd Points (discard to the General Pool).

If you’re unable or don’t want to pay the Upkeep, discard the Swindle card to the Gear discard pile. If the Swindle card was attached to a Move card, the Move reverts back to its normal state. If a Stable card is discarded, the attached Superstars are returned to the Superstar discard pile.

The Tag Team Championship allows you to ignore Upkeep costs for maintaining Stable. This is designed to keep the Tag Team Champions together in the event you are Tag Team Champions with one of your Stable members rather than seeing the champions split due to a missed Upkeep payment.

The Wealthy Gimmick actually gains Crowd Points from the General Pool during the Upkeep portion of the Drama phase.
